I had to write something here.

The Fun Stuff

My name is Robert Barbosa. I got into videography when I was 13 years old and it quickly became a passion of mine. Even in my everyday life, I’m constantly thinking about how this and that could be a great shot to capture. I regularly watch movies and TV shows twice in a row. First to enjoy the plot and then to enjoy the cinematography and editing. That’s how obsessed about videography and video production I am. It has also led to be audio production and editing. I even host a podcast with my partner called A Recent Study Suggests.

I also enjoy taking pictures and happen to be a champion of sarcasm and dry humor. In fact, I’ve been known to put in a lot of effort into a joke that doesn’t deserve it.

The More Professional Stuff

Over the past few years, I’ve worked with Canon and Sony cameras. I’ve done multi-cam productions for podcasts and interviews, as well as lit for them. I’m familiar with various types of microphones including Rode lavalier and shotgun mics, which I’ve used for weddings and interviews. I’ve also used the audio-technica AT2020 microphone for podcasting.

By working weddings, I’ve worked under pressure and under a strict timeline. There are no multiple takes when shooting a wedding. Because I worked in the wedding industry as well as at a radio station, I have experience working with different types of personalities. When it comes to weddings, there are the clients, wedding planner, and of course the clients’ parents. At the radio station, there are all the different on-air talent for their different stations that all target different demographics.

My work as a digital content coordinator at iHeart Media has allowed me to create video projects, as well as graphics for various radio stations in Houston, Texas. The projects help promote the stations and increase engagement on the Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.
